If you didn't know already, these two well-known fighters have shown no love for each other in the past. Correia has recently beaten two of Rousey's training partners in her last two showings. But the bad blood came to a boil on Thursday during a media showing when Correia had some choice words for the champ. (See Video Below)
Bovada Sportsbook currently has Rousey listed as a 14 to 1 favorite (-1400), while the challenger's backers are being offered nearly 8 to 1 payouts on their wagers (+750). The line opened at 16 to 1 in favor of Rousey, but has dropped surprisingly due to public action. This is the biggest number that oddsmakers have yet to put on the champ, so we expect some bettors to be attracted to the large payout on the underdog. The largest previous line placed on Rousey was 10 to 1 (-1000) in her UFC debut against Liz Carmouche.
In her 11 career MMA fights, nobody other than Miesha Tate, has made it past the first round against Rousey. In fact, she has forced 6 of her 11 opponents to tap out with her dominating armbar within the first minute of Round One. Tate grueled her way to the third round against Rousey, before she too succumber to the champ's armbar submission.
