But you might want to be careful before you spend your hard earned cash on a sports service that is supposed to be serving you with your best interest in mind.
This is one fact I know. There are several sports handicapping websites that are owned and operated by the same companies. Some have a list of cappers on their site that you can purchase their picks from, some don't. But the immoral capabilities that arise from such a position are endless.

I don't have factual information that there are handicapping services doing this on purpose. But I do have proof that there are several handicapping services owned by the same companies. And these websites aren't at the very back of google, and the other search engines. They're on the first page for many search terms that bettors use to find a sports handicapping service. Which means, they lock in a lot of clients - probably thousands!
Well, for one: look for professional gamblers not just sports handicappers. A person who just sells picks and doesn't invest in his analysis himself could simply just be pulling picks out of a hat.
Another good way to find a reputable sports handicapper is to follow their free sports picks for awhile. Most sports handicapping services offer free plays, some release them every day. If a sports handicapper is winning more than he is losing over a decent period of time, he may be worth a try. Stay far away from anyone that claims ridiculous winning percentages. A good handicapper wins just over 55% of the time (ATS or low-priced moneyline wagers). A great sports handicapper wins approximately 60% of the time (just find some proof of that claim before purchasing). And the elite sports handicappers of the world, which are very few, win almost 65% of the time. Anyone claiming over 65% should be deleted from your list of prospects immediately. Especially those claiming 70% and 80%. That is impossible, and it's never been done long term. It's been done during hot spells by the elite, but never over any long period of time.
Another thing to keep in mind is that all sports handicappers have sports that they excel in. Ask them what their best sport is, and what their percentages are in all of the sports that they handicap. If it's basketball season, ask them what their winning percentage is in basketball, how many picks they average releasing, and figure out what you would win with the amount you can afford to bet on each game. Do not ever bet more than your bankroll can handle. Professional gamblers rarely wager over 3 percent of their bankroll on any one sporting event. Some wager up to 5%, but that's the absolute most you should ever consider investing. Even then, you're playing with fire.
Follow these tips and I'm sure you'll find a sports handicapping service that will earn you money, if you stay diciplined!
